The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me ... Luke 4:18-19

Divine Note #17 – April 27, 2009

Luke 4:18-19 (New King James Version)
18 The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me
to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.

Have you ever talked to someone about asking Jesus into their heart? Have you shared your gift of salvation with your family, friends, coworkers or neighbors lately? Chances are that you haven’t! Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...Ephesians 1:3-10

Divine Note #16 – April 20, 2009

Ephesians 1:3-10 (New Century Version)
Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ, God has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world.4 That is, in Christ, he chose us before the world was made so that we would be his holy people—people without blame before him.5 Because of his love, God had already decided to make us his own children through Jesus Christ. That was what he wanted and what pleased him,6 and it brings praise to God because of his wonderful grace. God gave that grace to us freely, in Christ, the One he loves.7 In Christ we are set free by the blood of his death, and so we have forgiveness of sins. How rich is God's grace,8 which he has given to us so fully and freely. God, with full wisdom and understanding,9 let us know his secret purpose. This was what God wanted, and he planned to do it through Christ.10 His goal was to carry out his plan, when the right time came, …

Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures

Divine Note #15 – April 13, 2009

Luke 24:45-47
Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and He said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem."

After the resurrection of our Servant King, the Gospel of Luke notes that He appeared to His disciples and they were scared. Jesus had to ask those closest to Him to not doubt and to touch Him if they needed proof!

In doing this, Jesus opened a powerful door for you and me to have a personal relationship with Him. If we doubt or if we are scared, we can tell Him!

I had trust issues for many years until the Overseer of my soul showed me His hand three times on May 2, 2006. Since that time, He has had to remind me that He allowed me see His hand three times, so that I can be assured that He is always there for me! We have a very close and perso…

Your relationship with Jesus: Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13-14

Divine Note #14 – April 6, 2009

This is a personal love note from the Savior of the universe directly to the hearts of those who have trusted Him with their lives. Holy week is all about the greatest and most wonderful love that any human will ever need – the love of Jesus Christ. I’ve been thinking so much about our Lord’s final days on Earth after watching Mel Gibson’s movie, the Passion of the Christ. He suffered just like any human would under such horrific and humiliating circumstances. They beat Him, they called Him names, they tortured Him, His own friends denied they knew Him and I can go on and on…

During the movie I told myself that I was so blessed to not be a part of that terrible crowd of people who hurt our precious Lord. Then I had my “ah ha” moment when I realized that I’ve been there, done that, albeit in different ways. Actually, most of us have hurt or disappointed our sweet Jesus, in some way or another. Yet He still forgives and still loves us no matter what! As we …
