Divine Note #45 - Comfort for my people from the Book of Isaiah

The message for you is to remember that God has your back no matter what is happening in your world, but you must have faith and trust him. He is a God of love and comfort. Look to him for answers to your life. This is what the Bible says you can have.

Remember that you can choose to hang on to his hand and ask him to help you. He does not want you to be afraid.
Isaiah 41:13 For I hold you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.'

Whenever you need comfort, talk to God instead of taking that drink, eating extra food, shopping, taking a drug or asking for advice from folks who may not know his heart. God knows you because he made you.

Seven (7) benefits of knowing God

I wrote this note during the week between Christmas and New Year and posted a benefit each day on Facebook to commemorate the lessons I learned from God during my first year of public ministry. It is my desire to encourage and motivate you to have a great year regardless of your circumstances. I pray that you will step out of your comfort zone into the purpose that God planned for you – if you have not already.

Benefit #1 The Bible provides answers to your needs. Read Psalm 119 to find out how the Bible will: 11 keep you from sin; 28 lift your burdens; 105 guide all your steps; 111 give you joy; 130 lead you to wisdom; 165 give you peace; and 176 bring you right back to your savior.

Benefit #2 You will learn what real contentment means.
