Cling to God no matter what you are going through

Deuteronomy 30:10 - Living Bible (TLB)
He will rejoice if you but obey the commandments written in this book of the law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your hearts and souls.

Deuteronomy 11:1
“You must love the Lord your God and obey every one of his commands.

Deuteronomy 11:13-14
“And if you will carefully obey all of his commandments that I am going to give you today, and if you will love the Lord your God with all your hearts and souls and will worship him, 14 then he will continue to send both the early and late rains that will produce wonderful crops of grain, grapes for your wine, and olive oil.

Deuteronomy 11:19
Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are sitting at home, when you are out walking, at bedtime, and before breakfast!

Deuteronomy 11:22
“If you carefully obey all the commandments I give you,
loving the Lord your God
walking in all his ways, and
clinging to him …

25 No one will be able to stand against you,

Cling to the Lord no matter what is happening in your world today.

Know His word.

Understand His heart.

And love Him with all your heart, soul and mind.

He is your first line of defense.

He has your answers.

He is in charge of your life.

Go to God.

Cling.

13 They will take root
in your house, LORD God,
    and they will do well.
14 They will be like trees
that stay healthy and fruitful,
    even when they are old.
15 And they will say about you,
“The LORD always does right! God is our mighty rock.”

Sin on the journey

Before I know it, sin drips from my mouth and floods my mind. Oh the struggle.
Romans 7:22-23 I love to do God’s will so far as my new nature is concerned; but there is something else deep within me, in my lower nature, that is at war with my mind and wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. In my mind I want to be God’s willing servant, but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I’m in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free.
My current struggle is in not easily recognizing the extent of my sinfulness. I can easily preach it, but continuous righteous living eludes me.
Ouch. It hurts. I reveal this because I love the Lord with all my heart, mind and soul, but the sinner in me wins. It's the same struggle the A…
