Good people: Be careful that you think right. Psalm 4:23-27

Proverbs 4:23-27
23 Be careful what you think,
    because your thoughts run your life.
24 Don’t use your mouth to tell lies;
    don’t ever say things that are not true.
25 Keep your eyes focused on what is right,
    and look straight ahead to what is good.
26 Be careful what you do,
    and always do what is right.
27 Don’t turn off the road of goodness;
    keep away from evil paths.

If you've ever found yourself making up scenarios or imagining things that haven’t happened and worrying yourself needlessly, stop it.  Our mind is a powerful tool given to us by God yet many of us never learn to use it wisely.

Do yourself a favor and train yourself to think as if God was in the next room. Seek Him out, read the book called the Bible and make a covenant asking Him to help you focus your mind on right things.
Ask God to help you focus on understanding what He wants from your life.

Once you get that right everything else falls into place.
When you understand that your mind runs your life, you can make the right choices.

    like the cedars of Lebanon.
13 They will take root
in your house, LORD God,
    and they will do well.
14 They will be like trees
that stay healthy and fruitful,
    even when they are old.
15 And they will say about you,
“The LORD always does right! God is our mighty rock.”

Houston - we have a problem
I confess that before the 2016 presidential election, I wasn’t interested or concerned about participating in government or politics.
That changed on Nov. 8, 2016.
It’s now painfully clear how important it is to know what our elected politicians are doing on local, state and national levels. It’s time to shake ourselves out of complacency. We must be involved in directing our basic American rights, our policing, our healthcare, our financial lives and more. Our families depend on us.
The best way to do this is to get to know your elected officials and to vote.
Consider running for office or supporting someone you think has the gifts to be a politician. Our families are in crisis, our healthcare is in crisis, immigrant families are in danger and law enforcement may not be serving the interests of people of color   We need people who serve the interests of the majority of our communities
These are my recommendations: Get together with your family, friends and…
