Do you fill your mind with beauty and truth? Phil 4:8

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, fill your minds with beauty and truth. Meditate on whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is good, whatever is virtuous and praiseworthy.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again: if we take in trash -- we'll get trash back.  If we don't control the quality of people, activities and things that impact our lives, mess will happen.

Watch the filth on TV/movies/videos, look at that questionable material, drink that drink, spend time with people who do questionable things, and see how life ends up.

Or. Are you guilty of the coasting life?

Do you do nothing and expect something?

Do you lead a life of going through the motions

Do you make a difference in the world?

What about those sins of omission because it's the things you don't do that quality as sin.

The list is endless so you can see how easy it is to lose control of your mind.

Every single one of us is where we are today because of what we've been thinking. We're the products of our thinking. ~ Dr. Charles Stanley

Houston - we have a problem
I confess that before the 2016 presidential election, I wasn’t interested or concerned about participating in government or politics.
That changed on Nov. 8, 2016.
It’s now painfully clear how important it is to know what our elected politicians are doing on local, state and national levels. It’s time to shake ourselves out of complacency. We must be involved in directing our basic American rights, our policing, our healthcare, our financial lives and more. Our families depend on us.
The best way to do this is to get to know your elected officials and to vote.
Consider running for office or supporting someone you think has the gifts to be a politician. Our families are in crisis, our healthcare is in crisis, immigrant families are in danger and law enforcement may not be serving the interests of people of color   We need people who serve the interests of the majority of our communities
These are my recommendations: Get together with your family, friends and…

America will never be normal

Nothing stops real love!

Romans 8:38-39 For I have every confidence that nothing—not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth, nor any created thing—can come between us and the love of God revealed in the Anointed, Jesus our Lord.

Feelings can lead us down torturous paths. Next time you face a daunting crisis whether it's in your mind or real --stop.
Remember that nothing stops the love of Jesus.
It's yours free!
There's nothing you did to earn it! And it will not be withdrawn from you!
 It's called GRACE!

"We may feel at times that God has departed us from us, but that is when we have to believe his Word rather than our feelings." ~ RC Sproul
