There is more than this life

Ecclesiastes 12:8 Life is fleeting; it just slips through your fingers. All vanishes like mist.

Every Jan. 1 we get a clean calendar and a chance to get things done we want to do. But many don't see it as an opportunity to leave an eternal finger print in the world.

Instead, people focus on pleasures, work, challenges and making it from day-to-day without giving thought to their personal bigger picture.

It's this bigger picture that drives our quality of life when it's almost over. And, since most of us have seven to eight healthy decades - that's not much time.

Lately, this has been burning in my mind since I've only started setting eternal goals over the past decade.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here. So we do not set our sights on the things we can see with our eyes. All of that is fleeting; it will eventually fade away. Instead, we focus on the things we cannot see, which live on and on.

So when you are tempted to just make it through your days - remember that there's more to this life.

Houston - we have a problem
I confess that before the 2016 presidential election, I wasn’t interested or concerned about participating in government or politics.
That changed on Nov. 8, 2016.
It’s now painfully clear how important it is to know what our elected politicians are doing on local, state and national levels. It’s time to shake ourselves out of complacency. We must be involved in directing our basic American rights, our policing, our healthcare, our financial lives and more. Our families depend on us.
The best way to do this is to get to know your elected officials and to vote.
Consider running for office or supporting someone you think has the gifts to be a politician. Our families are in crisis, our healthcare is in crisis, immigrant families are in danger and law enforcement may not be serving the interests of people of color   We need people who serve the interests of the majority of our communities
These are my recommendations: Get together with your family, friends and…

America will never be normal

Nothing stops real love!

Romans 8:38-39 For I have every confidence that nothing—not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth, nor any created thing—can come between us and the love of God revealed in the Anointed, Jesus our Lord.

Feelings can lead us down torturous paths. Next time you face a daunting crisis whether it's in your mind or real --stop.
Remember that nothing stops the love of Jesus.
It's yours free!
There's nothing you did to earn it! And it will not be withdrawn from you!
 It's called GRACE!
