My God of second chances - Exodus 34:1

Exodus 34:1 Then the Lord told Moses, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones. I will write on them the same words that were on the tablets you smashed. I’ve seen God’s grace and love toward his people from Genesis to Revelation. The LORD is patient - very patient - just read the story of Moses. I’ve always been fascinated by the way God let Moses get away with breaking the first tablets upon which the Ten Commandments were written. God knows our possibilities and our hearts. He encouraged Moses when the journey seemed impossible. Moses pressed into God for reassurance. He asked for help – and God responded. And, even after Moses busted up the Ten Commandments tablet, God allowed Moses to see His glory! (Exodus 33:15-23) O God, I want to see your glory!     He isn’t surprised by your heart or mine. Our God is a God of second chances. Our God is a personal God. Get to know Him.

When you can’t understand life, don’t get mad at God – Psalm 119:59

11-11-11 Psalm 119:59 I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws. Today is Veteran’s Day in the United States. We remember, we celebrate and also thank those who are serving or who have served in the military and support organizations. It’s the perfect day to write this note that’s been developing in my spirit. People frequently ask me why I love God and have such a positive outlook. Surely I haven’t experienced tragedies or trials that make me wonder about the faithfulness of God? They think my life is perfect and that God is constantly waving his wand of blessings over me. Some of the questions I’ve been asked include: How can I be sure that God is there? Why is this happening to the one I love? God won’t forgive me for blaming him for whatever tragedy, etc. Why is this tragedy happening to me/to those I love, etc.? I’ve fallen away from God and cannot find the road back to him. God can never forgive me for the bad things I’ve done or th...

Divine Note #60 - Do you believe that God responds? Habakkuk 1:5

Divine Note #60 –Written on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 posted Dec. 3, 2010 Habakkuk 1:5 The Lord replies: “Look at the nations. Watch them. Be totally amazed at what you see. I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe. You would not believe even if someone told you about it.” Think about your spiritual senses. Is your awareness of God strong enough so that you know when he responds to your prayers? God is always working in our lives, but sometimes we focus on those things we want instead of what God is trying to tell us. In this Scripture, God responds to Habakkuk’s questions.  Our God is a God of miracles – he has unlimited power and he can use it to answer prayers that are within his will for you and me. Do you believe that God answers prayer? Do you believe that God does great things? Yes! Our God is an awesome God and he can change your life and mine in less than a second. Anticipate that God will answer your prayers. Big God Hugs, Blanca
