The three best days of my life – so far. – Acts 17:27

October 19, 2013 Acts 17:27 - Living Bible (TLB) “His purpose in all of this is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. Since I read a wonderful post on Maria Shriver’s blog, this post has been swirling in my brain. While cleaning treasures from my closet this morning, I found one of my many journals.  At that time, I had experienced the second happiest day of my life. Before I write about those days, I must tell you what I know for sure now. May 2, 2006 is the best day of my life. Period. There will be no other better day while I am living on Earth because on that day, I saw the hand of God and my life changed forever.  It was an unexpected supernatural occurrence. God wanted to get my attention. He did. Life has never been more exciting, joyful, painful and meaningful. I can blog about the milestones of my life, but there is no more significant milestone for ...

Waiting for God

1 Kings 17:7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the   Lord   came to him: 9 Go at once… There will be times when the drought simply settles into life. It makes itself at home. The hollowness of nothingness – it’s a difficult season. Things dry up. Time stands still. Stillness turns the clock. Time continues. No. God will not forget you. Wait. But listen.

The incredible greatness of his power

Written March 21, 2012 Ephesians 1:19 (GW) You will also know the unlimited greatness of his power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers. A few days ago, I realized that God answers my most pressing questions in such a loving way so that I can understand. He reduced me to grateful tears. It was such a tender moment. It was an unexpected moment that opened my eyes to his love. I had been wrestling with a situation for a while. Those who have children understand how kids can be relentless in their pursuit of things they really want. That describes my relationship with the Lord. There are a few wishes I have that are not becoming reality. God knows my history, my desires and my gifting. He desires that I understand and accept things about myself, so that I can move on. In responding to me, He set the record straight so that I understood the benefits of his decision. I was unable to struggle because he touched the very core of who I am. You see, only God kno...

Divine Note #62 - Do you wait for God? - Habakkuk 2:3

Written Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, Posted  Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 Habakkuk 2:3 The message I give you waits for the time I have appointed. It speaks about what is going to happen. And all of it will come true. It might take a while. But wait for it. You can be sure it will come. It will happen when I want it to. God speaks to Habakkuk and clearly tells him to wait for the message. I love the way God also tells Habakkuk that it may take time, but to wait because things will happen when God wants them to happen. How clear is that? How human it is for us to clearly hear God’s voice yet we still do our own thing? The message of this Divine Note is simple: Obey God. Leave timing, circumstances and all the details to him. God knows when you need to know something. God knows that it’s hard to wait. God knows that you need to know. But remember that doing God’s will involves obeying him down to the last detail. Wait on God. Listen to God. Obey God. Big God Hugs, Blanca Read my Dec...
