Divine Note #58 - God knows, so tell him - Hebrews 13:13

Divine Note #58 – Written on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, posted Oct. 18, 2010

God knows, so tell him

Hebrews 13:13 Nothing is hidden from God! He sees through everything, and we will have to tell the truth.

I tweeted  (@BlancaV) this Scripture a few days ago and it really surprised me. But it shouldn’t. God knows what we are up to even if we don’t admit what we’re doing. How many times do we fall into situations that are questionable and yet we don’t talk to God because we’ve decided to go ahead and fall into sin?

It is so easy to justify things that we want to do or say. We’re especially vulnerable when the enemy attacks our strongholds. I can name many things but you probably get the picture. Anytime you find your prayer life lacking, short or not on your priority list, stop and think about what is going on.

Don’t justify things in your mind. Talk things out with a trusted friend, your pastor and especially God. Tell God everything that’s in your heart and mind. Let God help you get life right.

Big God Hugs,
Blanca

Scriptures for life

Compiled December 2011
These are a few of my favorite Scriptures. I cannot live my life without God and his word. I keep a 3x5 wire bound note diary of verses that pop off the pages of my Bibles. This helps me in case I need to comfort someone with a specific verse. Start your own collection!

Comfort

Psalm 119:76 Comfort me with your love, as you promised me, your servant.
Job 4:4 Your words have comforted those who fell, and you have strengthened those who could not stand.
Strength

Psalm 18:1 I love you, LORD. You give me strength.
Psalm 29:11 The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
Psalm 118:14 The Lord gives me strength and a song. He has saved me.
Isaiah 40:29 The LORD gives strength to those who are weary.
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your shelter, and his everlasting arms support you.
1 Corinthians 15:58 … don’t let anyone move you off the foundation of your faith.
Psalm 31:24 Be strong, all who wait with hope for the LORD, and let your heart be courag…

Houston - we have a problem
I confess that before the 2016 presidential election, I wasn’t interested or concerned about participating in government or politics.
That changed on Nov. 8, 2016.
It’s now painfully clear how important it is to know what our elected politicians are doing on local, state and national levels. It’s time to shake ourselves out of complacency. We must be involved in directing our basic American rights, our policing, our healthcare, our financial lives and more. Our families depend on us.
The best way to do this is to get to know your elected officials and to vote.
Consider running for office or supporting someone you think has the gifts to be a politician. Our families are in crisis, our healthcare is in crisis, immigrant families are in danger and law enforcement may not be serving the interests of people of color   We need people who serve the interests of the majority of our communities
These are my recommendations: Get together with your family, friends and…
